Welcome to the Virtual Stereoscopic Museum, a nonprofit online museum and research collection dedicated to antique stereoscopes, stereo cameras, photographs, glass slides, documents and related objects from the history of stereoscopy. Its aim is to represent the first century of the medium’s development, with particular emphasis on antique glass slides and their viewing apparatus. All sections are curated by Pascal Martiné. For inquiries or comments, please contact us at mail@stereoscopicmuseum.org.

The history of stereoscopy predates photography and offers a rich field of interest for collectors and historians alike. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the physical artifacts, the medium is embedded in a broader context of technological innovation and cultural significance. Reflections on collecting and the history of stereoscopy are available on our History and Collecting blog. We invite you to explore the world of stereoscopy and its material heritage.
