Objects made between 1940 and 1974

From 1940 to 1974, stere­oscopy evolved from a pop­u­lar pho­to­graph­ic pas­time into a spe­cial­ized field. New mate­ri­als, colour pho­tog­ra­phy, and com­pact view­ing sys­tems kept three-dimen­sion­al pho­tog­ra­phy alive, while chang­ing tech­nolo­gies grad­u­al­ly brought the clas­sic stere­o­scope era to a close. This sec­tion fea­tures objects from the final chap­ter of tra­di­tion­al stereoscopy.
