Holmes-Bates stereoscopes

The Holmes stere­o­scope was the prin­ci­pal coun­ter­part to the clas­sic Brew­ster view­er. Devel­oped in the Unit­ed States, its sim­ple and inex­pen­sive design became espe­cial­ly wide­spread there but was also pro­duced and used inter­na­tion­al­ly. This sec­tion fea­tures Holmes stere­o­scopes from dif­fer­ent mak­ers and periods.
