Hemdé

Hemdé was a French man­u­fac­tur­er of stereo­scop­ic equip­ment based in Hem and lat­er Lille. Found­ed around the patent­ed mech­a­nism devel­oped by Mau­rice Delé­caille, Émile Cuny, and Paul Sorel in 1907, the com­pa­ny spe­cial­ized in inno­v­a­tive tray-based stere­o­scopes for glass slides. Its robust and reli­able view­ing sys­tems offered excep­tion­al con­ve­nience and helped estab­lish Hemdé as one of the lead­ing French mak­ers of mul­ti-view stere­o­scopes before the First World War. This sec­tion fea­tures stereo­scop­ic instru­ments man­u­fac­tured under the Hemdé name.
